"This restaurant has a peculiar inconsistency: during the summer season, both the service and the food noticeably decline. Outside the peak season, however, the experience is entirely different. The staff are far more attentive, noticeably less stressed, and the overall atmosphere is calmer. The lamb is significantly better prepared, and the soups are richer and more carefully made. This is, to a certain extent, understandable. Peak season and hundreds of guests would strain even the most efficient operation. Still, winter service proves that this restaurant is capable of delivering excellent lamb and genuinely good service at the same time. For that reason, it would make sense for Kovačević to limit the number of seats during the high season. Quality, as demonstrated in the quieter months, is clearly achievable here."

"A must-stop on the road between Sarajevo and Mostar. It was recommended by our driver, and we were so grateful for the suggestion. The lamb was outstanding — some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The view is exquisite, and all the other food we tried was also very tasty."

"Recommended by my Bosnian host. Amazing restaurant with a beautiful view of the river. We were in 4 people. We ordered 1kg lamb and 2x goulash. Both were delicious. For dessert we chose the homemade Baklava and it was the best we had so far - not too sweet. I highly recommend this place!"

"Kovačević Restaurant was one of the most delightful stops on our trip through Bosnia and Herzegovina. We were lucky to get a table by the window, and the view was absolutely stunning — but what made the experience even more special was the food, which was just as impressive as the scenery. The lamb, oven-roasted potatoes, and desserts were all delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Unlike many touristy spots in the region, where service can be indifferent, the staff here were attentive, friendly, and professional. We had no issues with parking, which was a big plus. The interior design of the restaurant is tasteful and comfortable, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We enjoyed our meal so much that we made a second visit on our way back — simply because it was that good. While some places in Bosnia seem to have inflated ratings, Kovačević truly deserves every star it gets. Great food, welcoming service, and a beautiful setting — highly recommended."
